1：视觉——真珠的形状不是很规则，呈半透明状玉白色、黄白色、肉粉红色、紫色等自然而特有的五彩荧光泽。而仿珠多为玻璃制品，形状规则，大小均匀，一般在珠体表面用银粉或带鱼鳞制成的‘上光液’，色泽单调，缺乏晕彩。 2：手感——真珠非常爽手，即使是天气炎热时触手也感觉到十分清凉。仿珠触手时觉得粘腻滚滑，若以纯玻璃仿制珠，则比重大于珍珠，若为充蜡玻璃仿制珠，则比重仅为珍珠的一半左右。 3：火烧——真珠放在燃气火机上灼烧，表面完好，光泽依旧。仿珠灼烧后表面会出现黑烟色，光泽顿失。（在首饰上不建议采用此方法，以免损坏首饰） 4：颜色——珍珠有白、金、银、粉、紫、红、黑、蓝、灰等颜色，其中以白色、紫色、白色稍带玫瑰红色为最佳，以蓝黑色带金属光泽为特佳。一般是不用改色，但如果见到罕见的灰黑色、黑色珍珠，就应引起警惕。因为天然黑珍珠并非纯黑色，而是略带彩虹闪光的深蓝黑色、或呈有青铜色调的黑色；而仿黑珠是将珍珠放入硝酸银溶液中浸泡，取出后在强阳光下晒，即变成黑色；若用布蘸少许5%左右的稀硝酸擦洗珍珠，则布上会留下黑迹。 5：对磨——真珠表层用小刀轻刮可见细小珍珠粉未，通常，用牙齿咬珍珠或将两粒珍珠相互摩擦，其表面有砂感，而仿珠之间相互磨擦，感觉很光滑，无砂感，且仿珠表层用针挑拔，成片脱落，不见细小粉未 |
